Table Tennis: Hong Kong Reject Quota, Goes to Thailand

Just an update. Hong Kong has rejected the men’s singles quota won by Kwan Kit Ho at the Asian table tennis Olympic qualifier. The quota would have been reallocated to Hong Kong’s Tianyi Jiang, but that was also rejected. This was likely done so that Hong Kong can qualify their top athletes through the world rankings. In the end the quota was reallocated to Thailand’s Padasak Tanviriavechakul.
